A SCARCE .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'DIANA 48', no visible serial number,
but date coded for May 1928, with blued 19 1/2in. barrel stamped near the loading-tap 'DIANA-LUFT-GEWEHR', the underside of barrel marked 'MADE IN GERMANY', rotating loading tap, plain air-chamber, single screw trigger-block, saw-handled chequered walnut butt with iron heel-plate, trigger adjuster to front of trigger guard bow, no provision for fore-end and waisted under-lever with push-button release, fair amount of original finish remaining
